Meet the founders
Allison Peña
Co-Founder & Professional Investigator
Allison is a licensed private investigator and co-founder of Ridgeback Investigations. She has extensive experience conducting surveillance, field investigations, social media investigations, statements, and claims-related investigations across Michigan and Ohio. Known for her attention to detail and ability to connect with people, Allison brings equal parts persistence and professionalism to every assignment. Together with Zachary, she launched Ridgeback Investigations in 2024 with the goal of providing responsive, high-quality investigative services without the bureaucracy of a national firm.
She's also the reason most people enjoy calling Ridgeback more than once.
Zachary Peña
Co-Founder & Professional Investigator
Zachary is a licensed private investigator and co-founder of Ridgeback Investigations. Since entering the investigations industry in 2016, he has conducted and managed hundreds of surveillance, claims, liability, and fraud investigations throughout the Midwest. In addition to his work at Ridgeback, Zachary investigates abuse allegations for GRACE and major unusual incidents for the Lucas County Board of Developmental Disabilities. He holds the Certified Forensic Interviewer (CFI) and Fraud Claims Law Associate (FCLA) designations and currently serves as Sergeant-at-Arms for the Michigan Council of Professional Investigators.
